Sad goodbyes

Yesterday was a tough day as we had to say goodbye to one of our partner organizations due to lack of federal funding. Heart and hand is a amazing organization made to give back to the community in many different ways. They have opened their doors to the community to be able to help with food and clothing scarcity. They have really been the “heart” of the community. It is very unfortunate that we have to say goodbye to this organization as well as help them and the amazing community surrounding. Every week we donate excess food from the Zion food bank over at Eastside Growers Collective to Heart and Hands to fill up the outdoor fridges for access to food at all times. Now that the organization is coming to a close a new recourse has to open up to be that asset for the community.
