CLP engages and supports youth, educators, and communities to innovate ways of changing waste and consumption patterns.
Imagine an entire school producing almost no waste. Imagine designing a system to recapture waste as a resource. Imagine youth creating the change.
Our Nearly Zero Project is a toolkit to get whole schools walking on the path to changing the culture of waste in their buildings and believing in their students to lead it.
We innovate ways to limit consumption in the classroom, in our backyards, and everyday life.
We find ways to utilize
waste as a resource.
We spread understanding of
the social and environmental effects of what we buy, eat, and how we choose to live.
We reclaim unused school gardens, we foodscape school campuses, and we relearn with youth how to grow food.
We teach about food justice, food literacy, and how healthy soil leads to healthy food which grows a healthy body.
We are excited about any opportunity to connect with our community. Find out how to get involved by donating, volunteering or partnering with us below!
